Another benefit of reading stories is the improvement in my reading speed. At first, I was slow and cautious, often having to re-read sentences or paragraphs. But as I continue to read regularly, my brain becomes quicker at processing information, allowing me to read faster while still retaining the key details. This increased fluency has translated into other areas of life, such as work or school, where I can absorb information more efficiently. It’s as though my mind is exercising its muscle to keep up with the pace of the stories.
